Reviews

  1. This is a very great guide. I have not seen such a good tutorial. Thank you 🙂

  2. Most efficient Retouching tutorial available. Most of the techniques in the shortest time. Love the “Plan” phase .. amazing how much there is to see and learn. Perhaps a tutorial focusing on “Plan” for a variety of images without the need to show the detailed editing of each? Could also include “approach” .. for this aspect of the Plan, will use dodge & burn, frequency separation, etc.

  3. Fantastic tutorial that reviews workflow and technique for high end portrait retouching. Easy to follow and to practice.

  4. As always, this is a great tutorial that summarizes the entire process of high-end retouching from beginning to end. For the PHLEARN Pros who have been around for a while, this is a condensed version of the entire retouching course that you could use as a review.

  5. Hello Aaron. This was well done and I learned a lot. Besides the image you work on it would be helpful (for me anyway) to have a few other out-of-the-camera images to practice on. Images that you think would be good to practice on that is. To be clear not asking you to check my work so no extra work for you. Not only for this tutorial but others as applicable. Thanks for considering this. Cheers.

Thanks for your comment, 3 extra RAW images are included in this tutorial for extra practice!
  6. This is an amazing tutorial! Thank you for the great knowledge and easy learning!

  7. Excellent tutorial so far, not quite finished yet. There are 2 x Freq Sep chapters shown but only 1 will play (2.06), every-time I click on Chapter 2.07, it plays 2.06 again. I’ve tried different computers and browsers.

This should be fixed, thanks for the heads up!
  8. This was a great and easy to follow tutorial. I love that the PSD file was included. It’s great to go in and see each and every layer to completely dissect the image. I definitely recommend this to anyone looking to enhance their beauty retouching skills!

  9. 165/5000 Hi Aaron, I’m Brazilian and my English is not so good, but its calm pronunciation helps a lot. Very useful the content proposed by you. Congratulations. Ueliton Silva

  10. This is such a great tutorial! I highly recommend it.

  11. I have been waiting for a tutorial like this, i loved it. I really was hoping you would go into detail on all the images as repetition is the best way to learn. Maybe with setting up skip points for quick reference

    Aaron Nace – Class Instructor
Thanks for your comment, I will take that into account for future tutorials!
  12. Good tutorial, I’ve got Wacom tablet and have the brush rezise Ctrl+Alt on one of my penn buttons and can rezise and soft it faster.

  13. Love it so far, will do a “real” review afterwards, but just fyi: in the freq sep at 30:17… the “editor” didn’t hear you, I guess. 😀 Will delete this soon, just didn’t know how to tell you any other way. Again, great content so far!

    Aaron Nace – Class Instructor
Fixing this now – thanks for the heads up!
  14. Aaron, another great tutorial. It does help explain the purpose and role of frequency separation better. I would like you to explain, when you are doing the markup, not only what you are looking to retouch , but WHY. I seem to look at an image and can only see about half the things you pick out.

  15. OH MY GOD!!!!!!!! I’ve only seen the trailer and am already in love with this class – I am SO excited! Please continue posting classes like this so my retouching skills continue to improve and modernize with today’s editing technology! THANK YOU!!!

  16. hi . why caption( Subtitle) not available in this tutorial ?

    Aaron Nace – Class Instructor
Thanks for your comment, subtitles will be available for this tutorial on July 16th 2019. The service we use has taken a little longer to process than normal.
